Suspect sought in shooting of woman inside Throgsneck deli

BRONX, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place last week at the JD Food Market Corp deli in the Throgsneck section of the Bronx. Detectives with the 45th Precinct released a photo and video of the suspect wanted for the shooting today.

According to police, the 31-year-old woman was inside the deli, shopping on March 5, at around 6:20 pm when a mann standing across the street fired several rounds into the store.

She was struck one time in the buttocks, police reported. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene.

The woman was treated at NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi and recovered.

The suspect was described as an adult male, 5’6″ tall, weighing approximately 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, grey jacket, and blue jeans.
