Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrest of Shooting Suspect in Atlantic City

by Charlie Dwyer

ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY – On Monday, an anonymous tip submitted through the tip411 system led to the arrest of 21-year-old Ayman H. Shiham, a suspect in a recent shooting. Shiham was located at a residence in the 3800 block of Ventnor Avenue, where police set up a perimeter and took him into custody without incident.

The arrest is connected to a shooting on Friday morning when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the same block. A 29-year-old male victim was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Shiham faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a high-capacity magazine. He is currently being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is encouraged to continue submitting anonymous tips through the tip411 system, which is completely anonymous.
