Police identify man killed in Crown Heights deli shooting

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department has identified 26-year-old Dion Reid as the victim in Monday’s fatal shooting outside a Crown Heights Deli.

Police were dispatched to a deli at 1608 Sterling Place after receiving a 911 call regarding a person shot at around 1 pm.

When they arrived, officers located a male victim with two gunshot wounds. Reid was struck once in the ankle and once in the chest, according to police.

EMS rushed Rein to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. No suspects have been identified.
