City Employee Arrested on Drug and Misconduct Charges

SCHENECTADY, NY – A Schenectady city employee has been arrested for drug and misconduct charges.

Floyd H. Slater, 52, the City of Schenectady’s Director of Solid Waste, was arrested yesterday following an investigation by the Schenectady Police Department.

Slater has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a D Felony, and one count of Official Misconduct, an A Misdemeanor.

The arrest comes after allegations of misconduct while serving as a city employee. Additional details about the investigation are yet to be released.
