Juvenile Injured in Atlantic City Motor Vehicle Crash

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Sunday, at approximately 5:44 PM, a 5-year-old girl from Atlantic City was injured in a motor vehicle crash that involved a GMC Yukon and several parked cars. The driver of the GMC Yukon, Nivida Garciaromero, 36 of Atlantic City, lost control of her vehicle and hit the girl’s bicycle. The juvenile was pinned underneath the vehicle until witnesses helped free her.

The girl was then transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Garciaromero and her passengers, an adult and two juveniles, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS. Garciaromero received several motor vehicle summonses.

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking anyone who witnessed the accident or has video footage related to the crash. Officer Franco Sydnor is investigating the incident and can be reached at 609-347-5744. Anonymous tips can be sent via text to tip411 (847411), starting the text with ACPD.
