New York City School Safety Agent arrested for harming child

NEW YORK, NY – Police in New York City are not releasing details, but detectives with the NYPD’s 13th Precinct confirmed New York City School Safety Agent Simone Powell, 333, was arrested on Tuesday.

Powell was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and attempted act in manner injurious to child.

Powell was arrested at around 1:30 pm on the city’s east side. The details of her arrest were not made public.

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 1335 hours, the following off-duty New York City Employee was arrested and charged in the confines of the 13th Precinct.
