Ocean County Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating John Applegate

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Toms River Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office are seeking public assistance in locating John “Bubby” Applegate. Applegate was last seen on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Toms River, in the area between Community Medical Center and the Garden State Parkway. Investigative efforts suggest that he may have traveled to the area of Johnson’s/Fischer’s pits in Berkeley Township.

John Applegate was last seen wearing a black jersey, light-colored jeans, and white shoes. He has distinct gauges (earrings) in both ears. Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Sergeant John Carroll at 732-929-2027, extension 3964, or Toms River Township Police Department Detective Jason Putkowski at 732-349-0150.
