Elderly Woman Victim of Home Invasion in Clifton

CLIFTON, NJ – At approximately 12 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to a Linden Avenue address in Clifton following reports of a home invasion in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered a 73-year-old female bound with duct tape on her living room floor. According to the victim, she was accosted by two male suspects wearing all black and possibly surgical masks, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The perpetrators ransacked the home and fled with an undetermined amount of valuables. Clifton Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Detective Bureau at 973-470-5908. Callers can remain anonymous. The incident appears to be random at this time.
