Police identify man shot and killed inside NYC public housing project

NEW YORK, NY – Police responding to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Saint Nicolas Houses on West 131st Street in Harlem on Sunday found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Today, detectives with the 32nd Precinct investigating the case have announced the deceased man as Georgia Alonza, who lived within the complex.

Alonza was shot at around 11 pm. FDNY EMS transported him to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced deceased on Monday.

Police have not identified any suspects during their homicide investigation. No arrests have been made.
