Schenectady man arrested for threatening to ‘shoot up’ high school

SCHENECTADY, NY – A 24-year-old Schenectady man was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat after he arrived at Schenectady High School and threatened to ‘shoot up the school’.

Police were called to the school, and the suspect, Zackery McWilliams, was found a short time later by patrol officers nearby.

Officers assigned to the high school reported that McWilliams made the threat on school property at around 11:10 am on Thursday. He left the campus shortly after without incident.
