44-year-old man shot and killed in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – A 44-year-old man was shot in the head and killed in Maspeth early Sunday morning. Police with the 104th Precinct arrived to the scene at around 3:52 am after receiving a 911 call regarding a shooting in front of 53-76 65th Place.

“Upon arrival, police discovered a 44-year-old male unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene,” the NYPD DCPI said in a statement. “There are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.”

The man was identified as Emanuel Pippis, 44, who lived just a few houses away from where he was found dead.
