Elderly Woman Robbed in Broad Daylight, NYPD Seeks Assistance in Identifying Suspect

NEW YORK, NY – A brazen robbery took place in broad daylight within the 108 Precinct, targeting a 67-year-old woman. The NYPD is now asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect responsible for this heartless crime. On Saturday, at approximately 6:00 AM, the elderly woman was approached by an unidentified male in front of 56-17 Roosevelt Avenue. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and forcibly removed her purse before fleeing the scene on foot, heading northbound on 56th Street.

The victim refused medical attention, but the emotional impact of this crime cannot be understated. The NYPD has released video and photo evidence of the suspect and encourages anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline. Identifying and apprehending the suspect is vital in ensuring the safety of our elderly community members and deterring would-be criminals from targeting vulnerable individuals.
