56-Year-Old Dead In D.C. Shooting, Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot and killed in the early hours yesterday morning in Southeast D.C.

Shortly before 1 am, officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 600 Block of 46th Place to investigate a shooting report. At the location, police found 56-year-old Michael Evans, of Maryland suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.

50-year-old Garry Denny was arrested yesterday and charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
