Body of missing Manchester man discovered in Lacey Township

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The body of Erik Zakrzewski, 51, of Manchester, was discovered in a wooded area in Lacey Township yesterday by the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit. Zakrzewski had been reported missing to the Manchester Township Police Department the previous day.

The decedent’s body was transported to Community Medical Center pending a post-mortem examination, and the Lacey Township Police Department is conducting the investigation into his death.

Chief Robert Dolan acknowledges the New Jersey State Police, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean Township Police Department, and the Lacey Township Police Department for participating in the Zakrzewski search.
