65-Year-Old Scooter Rider Assaulted in Chelsea

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual responsible for an assault that occurred within the 20 Precinct. Yesterday, at approximately 11:10 AM, a 65-year-old male victim was operating his scooter in front of 214 Amsterdam Avenue when an unidentified individual struck him in the arm with an unknown object, causing a small laceration.

The suspect then fled southbound on Amsterdam Avenue. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
