SILVER SPRING, MD – A 27-year-old man from Silver Spring has been charged with assaulting and robbing two male victims he met on a dating app. Brandon Darryl Kane was arrested on Thursday, and charged with two counts of robbery and first-degree assault.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Third District Investigative Section believe there may be additional victims and are asking them to come forward. The first victim contacted the police in October 2022, reporting that Kane, known to him as “Tommy,” had robbed him after they met for sex.

The second victim reported that Kane had robbed him on October 22, 2022, after the two agreed to meet via the dating app. After arriving at the agreed-upon address, the victim was physically assaulted and forced out of the apartment, and Kane stole the victim’s wallet.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Brandon Darryl Kane is asked to contact the Third District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.
