NYPD says mob attacked and stabbed man in Man in Hell’s Kitchen for being gay

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying seven individuals involved in an assault that occurred within the Midtown North Precinct. On Wednesday, at approximately 11:30 PM, a 44-year-old male victim was approached by the group at 610 10th Avenue.

The suspects made anti-gay remarks before punching, kicking, and stabbing the victim in the thigh. The individuals then fled eastbound on 44th Street and southbound on 9th Avenue.

The Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, and the victim was taken to Mount Sinai West for treatment.
