Police investigating shooting in Crownsville, No Injuries Reported

CROWNSVILLE, MD – Crownsville residents were left on high alert following a non-contact shooting incident that took place yesterday. At approximately 12:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Saint Stephens Church Road. The incident was brought to the attention of the victim after a neighbor heard gunshots overnight in the vicinity of their residences.

Upon returning home later in the morning, the victim discovered what appeared to be a bullet hole in their garage door. Officers conducted a search around the address, uncovering three spent casings on the shoulder of the roadway closest to the victim’s driveway. Fortunately, there were no reports of any physical injuries as a result of the shooting, and no other residents reported any property damage.

The Western District detectives are currently investigating the incident, working to establish a motive and identify any potential suspects.
