Queens Man Receives Sentence for Reckless School Bus Heist

BROOKLYN, NY – District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced today that Anthony Reyes, 44, from Jamaica, Queens, was sentenced to seven years in prison for stealing a school bus and driving recklessly across several precincts, causing property damage, vehicle damage, and injuries to other drivers.

Reyes pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted assault on February 10, 2023.

olice tracked the vehicle using its GPS location, but Reyes managed to evade them while causing destruction and injury across multiple precincts. He was eventually apprehended and will now serve prison time for his actions.
