NYPD investigating brutal mob assault and robbery of man in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a group of individuals involved in a violent robbery in the 71st Precinct. The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at approximately 6:20 pm, when a 40-year-old male was sitting in his parked vehicle at the intersection of Utica Avenue and Union Street.

The group, consisting of approximately ten individuals, approached and attacked the man, stealing his cell phone before dispersing.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
