26-Year-Old Man Shot Dead in East Harlem, Suspect At Large

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, at approximately 4:19 PM, officers from the 25 Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired near East 123 Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem. Upon arrival, they discovered a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.

EMS personnel were dispatched to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The deceased’s identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation, which seeks to identify any suspects and determine the motive behind the shooting.
