Laurel Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another In Critical Condition

LAUREL, MD – Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday, in the unincorporated section of Laurel. The incident left 20-year-old Kidane Fletcher dead and another adult male in critical condition. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At approximately 4:35 pm, patrol officers were called to the 13300 block of Edinburgh Lane for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Fletcher inside a building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim, an adult male, was also shot and is currently in critical condition.

Detectives are working to identify any suspects and determine a motive behind the shooting incident. Anyone with relevant information is urged to call detectives at 301-516-2512.
