BALTIMORE, MD – A woman who said she is a baker but wanted to remain anonymous has hit the jackpot on an instant lottery ticket.

The Baltimore County woman has claimed the first $50,000 top prize on the Big Money instant ticket, sold at Food Lion #1653 on Hyde Park Road in Baltimore.

The 67-year-old woman, who only plays Lottery games during visits to the grocery store, was shocked when she learned of her win after checking the ticket at home.

She plans to invest some of her winnings and go on vacation cruises with her family.

The Big Money instant ticket was introduced in March and offered a total of seven top prizes of $50,000. Seven top prizes are still awaiting discovery, along with 11 awards ranging from $5,000 to $1,000.

Food Lion #1653, will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for its role in selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.
