HYATTSVILLE, MD – A fatal shooting occurred on the 2100 block of Guilford Rd at approximately 5:15 pm on Friday. Responding officers found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.
One of the victims was pronounced dead, while the other was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of the surviving victim’s injuries has not been disclosed.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to identify potential suspects.
The identities of the victims and any possible motives for the incident have not been released. Detectives are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
No arrests have been made.
