Firearm Recovered, Suspect Arrested After Traffic Stop in Roxbury

ROXBURY, MA – At around 1:45 AM on Monday, officers assigned to District B-2 in Roxbury arrested 19-year-old Harry Del Valle of Revere on firearm-related charges following a traffic stop. The officers were responding to a shot spotter activation in the area of 6 Alpine Street when they observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way toward Warren Street without headlights.

The officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and conducted a traffic stop, making contact with the two occupants of the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, officers recovered a Glock 19 with eight rounds in the magazine from inside the car. Del Valle was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
