15-year-old robbed by group at gunpoint; beaten in broad daylight in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – The NYPD is requesting public assistance in identifying a group of approximately six individuals connected to a robbery that occurred on Friday, April 7, 2023, at approximately 1:40 pm in the vicinity of Townsend Avenue and East 171 Street.

The group approached the 15-year-old male victim, and one of the individuals simulated a firearm in his waistband. Approximately four of the other individuals punched and kicked the victim multiple times, then removed the victim’s wallet and one of his sneakers. The suspects fled westbound on East 171 Street towards Jerome Avenue.

The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention with a guardian present.
