17-year-old reported missing in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD – Police in Montgomery County are appealing to the public for help in locating a missing 17-year-old boy from Silver Spring, James Saad, who was last seen in the 13600 block of Colgate Way in Silver Spring on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at around 9:20 p.m.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are leading the search for James, who is described as being approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has dark colored eyes and black hair, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and brown shorts.

Both police and James’ family are concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. Callers can remain anonymous.

Anyone who has seen James Saad or who has any information about his disappearance is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000, which is available 24 hours a day.
