Vehicle Theft Suspect Arrested Following Police Foot Pursuit

GLEN BURNIE, MD – Today, police officers responded to reports of a suspect tampering with vehicles in the area of Joyce Drive and D Street in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers discovered that numerous vehicles had been vandalized and searched by the suspect. As they canvassed the area, they spotted a man matching the suspect’s description.

After a brief foot pursuit, 40-year-old Dwayne Anthony McGowan was taken into custody without incident.

McGowan, who had no fixed address, was found in possession of property belonging to the victims. He was arrested and charged accordingly.

During the intake process, officers discovered that McGowan had three outstanding warrants, which were served upon his arrest.
