Suspect arrested in Brooklyn murder investigation

BROOKLYN, NY – As part of an ongoing investigation, 32-year-old Dasean Crawford was arrested yesterday in connection to the murder of 32-year-old Jonathan Carter.

The incident occurred on May 22, 2022, when police responded to a 911 call about a male shot at 23 New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, officers found Carter unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was later pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.

Crawford is facing charges of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
