Two arrested for armed robbery in New Cumberland

Two sets of handcuffs.

NEW CUMBERLAND, PA – Jaylen J. Goldsmith, 19, and Zemoy Q. Reid, 21, were arrested for their involvement in a robbery on Friday.

The pair drew handguns and robbed victims of property, including an iPhone and a Honda Civic, at a residence on the 400 block of Sixteenth Street. York City Police apprehended Goldsmith and Reid within an hour of the crime using the tracking systems.

Several pieces of the victims’ property were recovered, and two loaded firearms were seized. The investigation indicates that this was not a random act of violence, but that the victim was targeted by the pair.

New Cumberland Police were assisted in this investigation by West Shore Regional Police, York City Police, and the Cumberland County Forensic Laboratory. Goldsmith and Reid were arraigned, and bail was set at $150,000 each; they remain in Cumberland County Prison.
