Woman arrested for shooting of 17-year-old in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE – Wilmington Police have arrested 20-year-old Nevaeh Comeger for her involvement in a shooting incident on W. 3rd Street that took place on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old victim was found at the scene and transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Responding officers located a suspect while on the scene and, with assistance from detectives of the Criminal Investigations Division, identified Nevaeh Comeger as the suspect in the shooting.

Comeger now faces multiple charges, including Assault (First Degree), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Reckless Endangering (First Degree) on three counts.

Comeger was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution on $57,626 cash-only bail.

Police are asking any witnesses to contact them regarding this case. Tips will remain confidential.
