Large police, SWAT presence at Galloway school planned event by NJSP, no incident reported

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – Residents concerned about a large police presence at a Galloway Township school this morning can rest easy. The display was part of a planned event at the school by the New Jersey State Police.

The Galloway Township community can expect to see a large police presence near Smithville School and Arthur Rann School this morning as the New Jersey State Police arrive for a visit.

In an effort to educate the young students, the state police will be displaying their SWAT, aviation, mounted unit, and other resources for the children’s enjoyment. The event is expected to be an exciting experience for all involved.

The Galloway Township Public Schools has expressed gratitude to The New Jersey State Police for participating in the showcase.
