NEW YORK, NY – A 64-year-old wheelchair-bound man was beaten and robbed by a pair of criminals who didn’t care about his disability or wellbeing last week. Now, police have released photos of the two suspects in hopes that the community will identify them so police can make an arrest.

According to the police report released by the NYPD , on Tuesday, April 11, around 8:30 pm, a 64-year-old man sitting in a wheelchair was approached by two unknown individuals in front of 235 West Kingsbridge Road, who demanded money.

When the victim refused, the suspects punched him in the head and stole his cellphone before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries to the back of his head and was taken to Saint Barnabus Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The first suspect was described as a medium-complexioned male with black hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words “Chinatown Market” on the front, ribbed blue jeans and black sneakers.

The second suspect was described as a slim-built male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing eyeglasses, a black winter hat with a Nike logo, a dark-colored bubble jacket with a light-colored hood, light-colored pants, and black and white Nike sneakers.
