Bronx Woman Faces Murder, Manslaughter Charges in Stabbing Death

BRONX, NY – In an ongoing investigation, 34-year-old Crystal Fryson from the Bronx has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a stabbing incident on Saturday.

The incident took place in an apartment at 1145 University Avenue around 10:31 PM.

The victim, 37-year-old John Levestone, was found with a stab wound to his torso and was later pronounced dead at NYC Health and Hospitals-Lincoln.

Fryson was taken into custody at the scene after officers found her in the apartment with a blood-covered knife. The motive behind the stabbing remains unclear, and the investigation continues.
