Goldsboro Man Shot in Chest

GOLDSBORO, NC – Goldsboro Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting on Thursday night that sent one man to the hospital in critical condition.

22-year-old Tyreik Artic was found shot in the chest on Thursday night at 1408 South Harding Drive. Goldsboro Police Department officers arrived at the scene around 11:33 pm and discovered Artic suffering from a single gunshot wound.

EMTs quickly transported him to UNC Health Wayne for emergency treatment.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Artic was later airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center, where he is now listed in fair condition.

The Goldsboro Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation to identify any potential suspects.
