31-year-old shot and killed overnight in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY – On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at approximately 12:31 am, police received a 911 call reporting a male shot at 330 Hinsdale Street in the New Lots section of Brooklyn.

Responding officers found a 31-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

As of now, there have been no arrests, and the investigation is still ongoing. The authorities have not yet released any information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The victim was later identified as Jason Oliver, of Franklin Avenue.
