Intoxicated Man Threatens Victim with Razor Knife in Severn

SEVERN, MD – On Saturday, at approximately 2:45 p.m., an officer was initiating a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Reece Road in Severn when numerous concerned citizens flagged him down.

They directed the officer’s attention towards a corner of a parking lot, where a male was holding a metal pole and backing away from another male seated in a chair. The victims and the subject with the pole indicated that the seated male had a knife.

Upon approaching the seated individual, the officer discovered that he had an open box cutter-type razor knife and a paint can opener in his lap. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

During the investigation, the officer learned that the suspect armed with the razor knife was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and had repeatedly threatened the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
