Newark woman arrested during traffic stop

NEWARK, DE – A Delaware woman was charged by police during a traffic stop after failing to cooperate peacefully with police officers

Khadijah Brown was arrested by Newark Police on Monday, during a traffic stop in Wilmington. Delaware State Police initially contacted Brown and subsequently handed her over to the Newark Police without incident.

Brown was transported to the Newark Police headquarters, where she was charged with hindering prosecution and multiple traffic offenses related to the incident.

Brown is currently awaiting presentment before a Justice of the Peace Court.

A second female, who was originally sought for this incident, was determined not to be involved after further investigation and review of evidence.

She is no longer wanted by the Newark Police.
