19-year-old from Philadelphia arrested for murder at NYCHA project

NEW YORK, NY – A Philadelphia man has been arrested for the murder of a New York City man inside a public housing complex in Harlem.

24-year-old Alonza Georgia, was fatally shot on Sunday, March 26 at around 9:04 pm at 200 West 131 Street at the Saint Nicholas Houses.

Upon arrival, the police officers discovered Georgia with a gunshot wound to his torso. EMS quickly responded and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead the following day.

Zaire Allen, a 19-year-old, has been charged with murder, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon.
