69-year-old man attacked on NYC subway train

NEW YORK, NY – A 69-year-old man was attacked and beaten while riding a New York City subway train by a man he had a verbal altercation with moments earlier. Detectives investigating the incident that happened in March have released a new photo of the suspect today.

On March 11, at around 9:00 pm, a 69-year-old man got into a verbal altercation with an unknown male on the southbound platform of the 176th Street Subway Station.

The suspect followed the victim onto a southbound 4 train and proceeded to physically assault him by punching and kicking him. The perpetrator then fled the train at the Mt. Eden subway station.

The victim suffered swelling and pain as a result of the attack. The NYPD has released a photo of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS
