NASSAU COUNTY, NY – Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly recently announced the re-arrest of disbarred attorney Alfred DiGirolomo, Jr., 67, of Manhasset, for allegedly practicing law without authorization and stealing $21,500 from a client in supposed attorney fees and settlement funds he falsely claimed to have negotiated on the client’s behalf. DiGirolomo faces charges of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Practice of Law by an Attorney who has been disbarred, suspended, or convicted of a felony.

Previously, DiGirolomo had pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges and was disbarred.

Despite this, he continued working with a client who had hired him in 2016 to represent him in a civil matter. DiGirolomo allegedly requested attorney fees, falsely claimed to have negotiated a settlement, and failed to appear at multiple court dates, resulting in the client receiving a notice of default.
