Eight-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured as Bullets Rip Through Charlotte Home

Unknown assailants killed four employees of a radio station, in Ciudad Juarez

CHARLOTTE, NC – On Monday, an eight-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries in an assault with a deadly weapon incident near the 2800 block of Burbank Drive. Officers from multiple patrol divisions responded to the call shortly after 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, they discovered a home that had been shot into and the young female victim with serious injuries. MEDIC transported the girl to the hospital, where she is currently in serious but stable condition.

Detectives from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are actively investigating the case. Crime Scene Search also responded to the scene to process it and collect physical evidence.

Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, MEDIC, and the Charlotte Fire Department assisted in the case as well. The investigation remains active and ongoing, with the CMPD’s Public Affairs Office set to release additional information as it develops.
