Police investigating Times Square subway station pepper spray attack

NEW YORK, NY – An argument that took place inside the Times Square subway station in New York City ended with a 56-year-old man being peppersprayed.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who reportedly assaulted a 56-year-old man inside the Times Square subway station on April 11, 2023.

According to police, the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown individual when the suspect discharged pepper spray into the victim’s face before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS.

The NYPD has released photos of the suspect and urges anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips online or via Twitter.
