Chicago Man Charged for murder of 50-year-old man

CHICAGO, IL – A 22-year-old from Chicago has been charged with murder after killing a 50-year-old man on Wednesday.

Bryant Branch, from the 7400 block of S. Maplewood in Chicago has been charged with one count of first degree murder in connection with the killing of a 50-year-old male on April 24.

Branch was arrested on April 26 in the 200 block of W. 95th St. and later appeared in Central Bond Court on April 28, 2023.

The incident occurred in the 9300 block of S. Eggleston in the city’s 22nd District. Branch was identified as the suspect who allegedly shot and killed the victim. He was taken into custody without incident and charged accordingly.

No further details about the case have been released at this time. Branch remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
