NYPD investigating burglary pattern in Queens

NEW YORK CITY – The NYPD is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual connected to two burglary incidents that occurred within the 105 and 109 Precincts on April 19, 2023.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the suspect approached a residence near Seward Avenue and 234 Street within the 105 Precinct. The individual knocked on the front door before proceeding to the side door, where he forced entry into the home.

The suspect removed an undisclosed sum of money from the location and fled eastbound on Seward Avenue.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., the suspect approached another residence in the vicinity of 156 Street and Kalmia Avenue within the 109 Precinct. The individual knocked on the door and rang the bell before moving to the rear of the residence.

The suspect attempted to gain entry through the back, but the homeowner interrupted his efforts, and the suspect fled the scene through neighboring backyards.

The NYPD describes the suspect as last seen wearing a dark shirt, dark pants, black and white shoes, a blue hat, and a black bag. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or the burglaries is encouraged to contact the police.
