Police Searching for Suspect in Brutal Assault at NYC Train Station

NEW YORK CITY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a brutal assault that occurred on April 17th at the Intervale Avenue train station in the Bronx.

The 44-year-old male victim was involved in a dispute with an unknown individual on a northbound train. Both the victim and the suspect exited the train at the Intervale Avenue station, where the suspect struck the victim multiple times with an unknown object, causing severe lacerations to the victim’s face and hands.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in critical condition. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Westchester Avenue.
