Schenectady Police Investigate Shooting on State Street

SCHENECTADY, NY – On Tuesday, at approximately 9:50 PM, Schenectady Police Officers responded to a shooting at 1200 State Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. H

e was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment, and his injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Officers secured the area and the Schenectady Police Crime Scene Unit processed the scene. Schenectady Police Detectives are actively investigating the incident, working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to identify any potential suspects involved.

The police are appealing to the public for any information related to the shooting.
