Utica Police Arrest Man, Seize Cocaine and Cash in Narcotics Investigation

UTICA, NY – On Wednesday, the Utica Police Department Special Investigations Unit, in conjunction with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police, executed a search warrant at 1303 Oswego St in relation to a lengthy investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics.

As a result of the search warrant, 22-year-old Jamal Cochran of Utica was arrested, and nearly 70 grams of cocaine and over $8,300 were seized.

Cochran was ultimately charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree (sale), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree (weight), and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
