Chicago police investigating multiple armed robberies in Grand Central District

CHICAGO, IL – A pattern of armed robberies has been reported in the overnight and early morning hours of yesterday in Chicago’s Grand Central District.

Victims on foot, primarily on their way to work, are being targeted by a group of three or four African American males in a gray KIA SUV.

The suspects, wearing dark clothing, hoodies, and masks, exit the vehicle armed with firearms and demand the victim’s belongings.

The robberies occurred Thursday at various locations and times between 5:00 am and 5:45 am, including the 4300 block of W Hirsch St, the 1500 block of N Kedvale Ave, the 4600 block of W Armitage Ave, and the 1200 block of N Kostner Ave.

Chicago Police are urging residents to be cautious and report any suspicious activity related to these armed robberies. They are also encouraging those with information about the suspects to come forward.
