PITTSBURGH, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced today the arrest of 43-year-old Dean Marbury, a Hill District man facing multiple warrants.

Marbury had been a fugitive since October 2021, when probation violation bench warrants were issued by Judge David Cashman concerning two convictions involving firearms violations, aggravated assault, and possession with intent to deliver. The bench warrants were issued after Marbury was charged with simple assault domestic violence in September 2021.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office developed information that Marbury was hiding inside a residence on Bryn Mawr Road.

After initially struggling to gain entry, detectives accessed the residence through a second-floor window and found Marbury hiding in a concealed compartment beneath an aquarium. Marbury was arrested without further incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
